New website for expats

by Cat on July 24, 2007

I’ve just been checking out Korea4Expats and think Anne and Oliver have done an amazing job. The site looks great and is very user-friendly. Even if you’re not new to Korea, you can probably learn something. I just read the article about the 1330 line and plan to use it the next time I need to make reservations for a trip to the coast.

Great work.

Oh dear, they’ve started yet another forum. As if cyberspace is not littered with enough English language forums on Korea already. I lost count after about 20.

I got an email recently from yet another website being setup about ‘expats in Korea’ it’s this one: http://expatsinkorea.net
It’s not quite ready for launch yet I understand.

Maybe I haven’t seen all of the Korean expat websites, but Korea4Expats looks like it will be the best out there. The authors obviously have poured a lot of effort into the site and they both seem to have a lot of experience as ex-pats themselves. The website is also very tastefully designed with the both the layout and menus, while leaving enough space for ads.

As for the plethora of Korean expats websites, it may be because there has yet to be a really good one out there, hence the fractionalization. I’m crossing my fingers and am hoping Korea4Expats will be the defacto one-stop-shop or at least expat-in-Korea portal, as I’m sure it’s authors are.
