Aishh!! So, I “upgraded” (ha, ha, wink, wink) to Wordpress 2.3 without thoroughly reading the fine print and it completely FUBARed my blog. Two of my key plugins don’t work with the “new, improved” taxonomy. To wit:
Ultimate Tag Warrior? Gone bye-bye. Wordpress now has native tag support. (See top navigation.) It allowed me to import my UTW tags, but also added my categories as tags. What the effity-eff?! (Sorry. This is now a family blog, after all.)
But, the real loss is my Categorical Links plugin. It uses template tags that no longer exist and the author apparently has no plans to update. I had to write my own page to call the database to list my links. (Since my blogroll is way too long to go in the sidebar.) But, my CSS styles are not being applied to the list. This is why it looks like crap when you visit that page now.
I. do. not. have. time. for. this!
If anyone with decent CSS skills is reading this blog, and knows how to fix that page, drop me an email or leave a note in the comments.
