Months three and four: A twofer

by Cat on December 3, 2007

Dear Susana,

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. I kept procrastinating and re-editing your three-month letter until, lo and behold, here we are at four months! Wow.

It’s hard to describe how much growing and changing you’ve done these past two months. (I know this is beginning to sound like a broken record, but still…Girl, you are changing literally right before our eyes.)

[Update: I had to remove the embedded video because it was breaking the theme. You can still watch the video on the original site by following the link.]

David spent half a day home with Susana yesterday so I could go do an interview for a magazine article I’m writing. I felt bad because he hardly ever gets to spend lots of time with her and though she’s usually in a great mood in the mornings, this morning was the exception. So I was hesitant to leave him flying solo.

I came home from my interview almost expecting to hear Susana in the hallway. (It wouldn’t be the first time.) I didn’t. When I entered the apartment foyer, silence was all I heard. Heading into the living room, I saw this:

Maybe I’m just not challenging her enough. :-)

Dear Susana,

You are two weeks away from being three months old and I am just now putting up your two-month newsletter. And, that’s a pretty good summary of how your second month of life has gone. From here on out, I think your dad and I will be forever playing catch-up.
